records of course
Saturday I shopped records like there was no tomorrow, because … well there is no tomorrow. If there’s one thing i learned in Amsterdam is where to buy records and buy them cheap. I went to my four favorite stores from noon to 4:30 buying a total of 17 vinyls and 3 cds thrown in for a good measure. Purchases include the congos’ “heart of the congos”, considered by many the best reggae album of all time. I haven’t heard it yet but the anticipation is running high considering I’ve been hunting for this for two months. Other purchases include the much talked about lately Rio by Duran Duran (go Luis), A-ha, Supertramp, Augustus Pablo and even the greatest hits v.3 of Andy Williams, purchased for one song alone. All in all it was a fruitful Saturday.
Right now I’m sitting through my last day in the office, doing last minute emails etc. The next 2 days are quite busy with packing and cleaning looming large. I’m flying back on Thursday but for the purposes of this page I can now say: Farewell Amsterdam.

Leaving Amsterdam already? holy moly.
On the records: Cosign that Junior Murvin "Police & Thieves" album. And do you have Madlib's "Blunted In The Bomb Shelter?" (http://www.mmguide.musicmatch.com/album/album.cgi?ALBUMID=1382226&AMGLENGTH=full#review) It's excellent if you're into reggae mixes.

Good to know what you've been up to, George. Glad you had a good time in Amsterdam, and it's good to know I can follow you via this blog.
