I never asked but I heard you cast your lot along with the poor. But then I overheard your prayer, that you be this and nothing more than just some grateful faithful woman's favourite singing millionaire, the patron Saint of envy and the grocer of despair, working for the Yankee Dollar.

haikus

i looked haikus up and found the strict rules for japanese (5-7-5). more relaxed for english and frankly i don't care.

My Memories
Of childhood long gone;
Suddenly Return

The dog
Lies peacefully on the grass,
Trembling

I love you she said
while she gently kissed,
Her reflection

Rivers will flow
to the sea and beyond;
Sometimes

The office
Is quite and calm;
Death has upset us

Moving away,
In another land
Of my mind

Oranges glisten
In the bright sun,
As they rot

Heat burns my fingers
As I try to hold on,
To the ice

And now for sitting through that, here is your reward. HAIKU CIRCUS:
