flush on the river

so summers in new york are apparently humid, dark and rainy and everyone's pissed off. i bought a record yesterday on vinyl that i already own on cd and though i have been known to do this on purpose on at least 2 occasions (al green gets next to you and blondie's parallel lines) this time it was an accident. it was such a good hole to fill that i couldn't resist. kraftewerk's radioactivity bridges the gap between the ethereal materpiece that is autobahn and the albums that would define electropop and an entire decade, namely man machine. i've been playing around with my mixer and expect a slice of electronic goodness coming sometime soon.
espn classic is showing poker all weekend long and it's so hard to look away even though i should be working, i'm walking around in ridiculous boxer shorts watching the 2005 main event of the world series of poker even though i know what's going to happen. i guess it's something like karate kid, i mean can YOU resist it?

gotta love it
