I never asked but I heard you cast your lot along with the poor. But then I overheard your prayer, that you be this and nothing more than just some grateful faithful woman's favourite singing millionaire, the patron Saint of envy and the grocer of despair, working for the Yankee Dollar.

just plain strange

this guy...i mean this guy! a lot of us seek love, affection and attention at one time or another but this guy...!! i mean posing as a school kid, fine but as someone's lost son? and the parents bought it? that almost absolves the guy! good to know we're not as weird as we sometimes feel like.

a lonely heart:

george,
something strange and supernatural? my apartment has a small chalkboard in the kitchen where we occasionally (rarely) write things.

on the board now is a line drawing of a face, in the style of many of your sketches. and then in your handwriting, it says, "george says hi." i didn't notice it until erik pointed it out a few days ago. i don't know how it got there.
