easter
just got back from my first day at work back in greece. enough said about that. i've been without internet for awhile so forgive the gap in posts.
this post concerns greek easter which i just celebrated this past weekend with my parents at my countryhouse. the celebrations consisted of lots of 3 hour naps (usually from 3 to 6 pm), good 9-10 hour night sleeps and eating in between. there was also some marginal church involved with lots of incence and spacing out over candles. church can be quite psychedelic you know... anyway, i took some pictures mainly for the benefit of my american friends who saw me so many times getting homesick during easter in the states and also saw me refuse to take part in the greco american replicas. i hope know you understand:
these pictures were taken at 11:30 in the morning. food and wine had already started. not for the faint hearted, not to mention vegetarians who should migrate outside greece for easter.

my dad is happy

and from a different angle just so there are no misunderstandings

happy easter and name day to me as well, it was yesterday but you're not expected to know these things my multicultural friends...
